Ján Mucha a Krylia Sovetov Samara

Krylia signed a two-year contract with a 30-year-old Slovakian goalkeeper Jan Mucha. Trainee of Bratislava FC Inter, he played for the Polish FC Legia for five seasons and his last club was the English Everton. Mucha is a two-times Slovakian champion, gold winner of the Polish championships and Super-Cup holder of both countries. Mucha took part in 35 matches of the Slovakian national team, also the one against the national team of Russia played in Moscow in 2010 which Slovakia won. Jan Mucha was on the national team in the World Cup 2010 in SAR where Slovakia made it to the 1/8 of the final.

“I received the offer from Krylia not so long ago, but I learnt quite a lot about Krylia already,” Jan told www.KC-CAMAPA.ru. “My compatriots playing in the Russian Championship Tomas Gubocan and Martin Jakubko approved of my choice. I will do my best to help Krylia achieve their goals. I plan to start learning Russian in the nearest future. Of course I understand a lot things now and I know all the words that goalkeepers use in the game, but I want to really be part of the family.”

“We have signed a very strong goalkeeper, but Sergey Veremko has been one of the team leaders for two years now, and he is goalkeeper number one,” says general director Denis Maslov. “But during the championship we are to be sure that the goalkeeper line is safe, and Jan Mucha is the one we need. He is experienced and his proficiency is known, and he can take the place in the goal area any time.”
